You Need 5 Habits…

Let’s talk about habits.

Not the type you start on Monday and forget by Wednesday.

Not the one that involves 45 tabs open and convincing yourself that watching a TED talk at 2am is “research.”

I mean the kind of habits that hold you together when life gets busy, loud, and confusing.

So let’s unpack them, yeah?

1. One to Make You Money

Whether you’re job-hunting, freelancing, side-hustling, or dancing between gigs, you need a money habit.

For me? It’s waking up and checking in with my offers.

Not social media. Not WhatsApp group chats. But what am I building that can eventually pay me?

Your money habit doesn’t have to be loud.
It could be writing for 30 minutes.
Sending one pitch.
Updating your portfolio.
Learning how to price your work without stuttering. đŸ˜©

Whatever it is, do something daily that nudges your finances forward.

2. One to Keep You in Shape

I’m not saying you need to run a marathon (unless that’s your thing).
But listen, your body is the only one you get.

Movement clears your mind.

Stretch. Walk. Dance. Jog to that “No Turning Back” playlist.
Do something that reminds your muscles, “Hey, we’re still alive.”

And for the record: walking around your room while talking to yourself counts. (I know someone who does
)

3. One to Keep You Creative

Creativity isn’t just for artists or writers.
It’s for every human trying to solve problems, show up, and live with heart.

Creativity is how you stay awake in a world that wants to put you on autopilot.

Write a journal entry.
Record that voice note idea.
Doodle. Bake. Reorganize your shelf.
Design a random logo just for fun.

Creativity thrives when we stop waiting for “purpose” and just play.

4. One to Build Knowledge

Because guess what?

We don’t know everything. (Painful, I know.)

But knowledge habitually added = power wisely used.

Read a page.
Watch a documentary.
Take that course you saved three years ago.
Ask questions. Take notes. Keep learning.

You don’t have to become a genius in one week. Just keep growing.

5. One to Evolve Your Mindset

This is the big one.

The work of becoming is inner work.

How you speak to yourself.
How you process failure.
How you handle “slow” seasons.
How you react when someone else is winning.

Meditate. Pray. Listen to voices that speak life.
Not everything that comes to your mind should stay there.

Renew it daily.

Final Thoughts

You don’t need 50 habits. You need 5 that touch the core parts of your life:

  • Your wallet
  • Your body
  • Your creativity
  • Your brain
  • Your belief system

Start small. Pick one. Be gentle with yourself.

Growth doesn’t come from pressure. It comes from rhythm.

And in case no one told you today:
You’re not lazy. You’re just building something that takes time.

Keep going.

Very insightful, movement is one of the micro-habits I’ve been consistent with since I tend to stay in a fixed position while working.
