I’m Starting Again—But This Time, Publicly.

My Name is Blessing Okwong and here is why I am finally going public with this blog.

I like to say I am a teacher, a writer, and someone learning to rebuild – one line of code at a time.

Over the years, I’ve tried to stay relevant. I’ve taken courses, jumped into new interests, and started several things I didn’t always finish. I’ve battled the fear of not being “enough,” the guilt of not having “arrived,” and the pressure to survive on an empty stomach.

I’ve loved teaching. I’ve always found comfort in writing. I’ve guided others more than I’ve guided myself. And at some point, I wasn’t sure if I even loved these things anymore.

But deep down, I’ve always known this:
My voice matters. My lessons matter. And my growth is not wasted.

Last month, I finally took a step. I built this blog website using WordPress—combining my writing, teaching, and web development skills into one digital home.

This space is for people like me:

  • Teachers who still believe in impact
  • Writers who want to be seen and heard
  • New tech learners trying to figure it out
  • People rebuilding their confidence
  • Anyone growing and needing guidance

Over the next 30 days, I’ll be posting daily. Sometimes lessons, sometimes reflections, sometimes tech help. But always honest. Always helpful.

This challenge is called “Teach With Words”—because that’s what I’ve always done, even when no one was watching.

If you’ve ever struggled with choosing a path, or sticking to one, or believing in your gift when there’s no applause—please know this:

You are not alone.

Are you also starting again? Drop a comment, share your journey, i’d like to meet with you.
