I know you’re tired of hearing, “Everything will be fine soon”, and it’s probably the last thing you want to hear, but that is exactly what I want to tell you today.
Sometimes life gets so heavy that even “keep going” sounds like hard work.
I am saying this while going through some things as well.
We’ve made strength look so beautiful.
We celebrate the person who wakes up at 5 a.m. for a 9-5 job, builds a business on the side, has a perfect life and the perfect spouse on their social media page.
Meanwhile, someone else is struggling to get out of bed or refreshing their mails every minute for a job. And because they aren’t doing all those things, they feel like they’re failing.
But what if keeping going doesn’t always look impressive?
What if it means taking a shower when you don’t feel like it? Replying to that one message you’ve been avoiding? Eating something because you’ve barely eaten all day? Coming home, taking off your shoes, and admitting, “Today was hard.”
Does that count as progress? I think it does.
There are days when we have the capacity to fight, and days when all we can do is breathe and wait for tomorrow. Both days count.
We don’t have to turn our difficult seasons into inspirational stories while we’re still living through them.
You’re allowed to simply say, “This is hard.” You don’t have to find the lesson yet. You don’t have to turn your pain into a testimony before you’ve had the chance to process it.
Sometimes, you’re just tired. And that’s okay.

We really don’t know what people are carrying.
Someone sends a funny meme in the morning and cries that night. Someone laughs at work while wondering how they’ll fix their life. Someone congratulates a friend on a new job while quietly waiting for their own. Someone is praying for a child, for money, for healing, for enough strength to make it through the week.
And because they’re still functioning, we assume they’re fine.
Maybe that’s why we should be kinder — to others, and to ourselves.
A lot of us are genuinely figuring life out as we go. Building careers, relationships, families, while carrying our own fears and unanswered questions. Of course some days feel messy. We are human beings, not well-organised Google Calendars.
If you believe in God, there’s something comforting in knowing faith doesn’t mean you’ll never have difficult days. Yes, you can walk with God and still go through hard times.
There are days when prayer feels easy, and days when all you can manage is, “God, please help me.” I don’t think God needs us to perform strength for Him. Sometimes, holding on is the faith.
I don’t know what you’re going through, so I won’t insult you with a promise that everything becomes perfect tomorrow.
I don’t know when the job will come, or the money will make sense, or the grief will stop hurting.
But I do know you don’t have to figure out the rest of your life today.
Today is enough. Do what you can. Rest where you need to. Ask for help if you need it. Cry if you need to. Try again tomorrow.
There is no prize for pretending you’re okay when you aren’t.
So if life has been a little heavier than usual, this is me reminding you: you are not failing because you’re tired. You are not behind because you need to rest. And you haven’t wasted your life because things aren’t happening on the timeline you imagined.
Maybe this season is asking you to slow down. Maybe it’s asking you to start again. Maybe it’s simply asking you to survive long enough to see what comes next.
Be gentle with yourself. Do what you can today. Then wake up tomorrow and do what you can again.
Sometimes, that’s what “keep going” really means.

I am that someone else who is struggling to get out of bed and refreshing their mails every minute for a job and getting nothing tangible and living on budget near bankruptcy and all of that.
But as you say, I keep moving forward because I never forsake hope.
Thank you for this.
