Holy but Hot…

P/S: You can love Jesus and lip gloss😁

Last Sunday, someone called me a ā€œchurch girl with fine girl energy,ā€ and I just laughed. Like, what exactly is that supposed to mean? šŸ˜‚

But it got me thinking… why does loving Jesus automatically mean you have to dim your shine? Why do people think holiness and hotness can’t breathe the same air? Baby, it can. It does. And it should.

See, being a fine girl isn’t a sin. It’s stewardship.
You take care of the body God gave you, express your style, your confidence, your creativity, and still love Him with your whole heart. You can slay your outfit and your Bible study. You can love Jesus and lip gloss. Balance it, sister! 😌

But here’s the real tea: the world will always try to box you in.
If you post Scriptures, they say you’re ā€œdoing too much.ā€
If you post selfies, they say you’ve ā€œchanged.ā€
If you do both? They get confused.🤣

And that’s the beauty of it; faith isn’t about fitting in, it’s about standing out with purpose. Your light is meant to shine, not shrink. So go ahead, glow up and grow in grace. Dress well, speak kind, pray hard, love loud.

So, no…  faith doesn’t dim your shine. It defines it. It reminds you that your glow isn’t just from good skincare or sunlight, but from a peace that passes understanding. You can be holy and still be hot. You can be modest and still magnetic. Because grace has always looked good on people… you just have to wear it well.

So next time someone tries to guilt-trip you for being stylish, smile and say, ā€œI’m fearfully and wonderfully made…  emphasis on wonderfully.ā€ 😌

Have you ever been misunderstood because of how you express your faith?

  1. I once went for a picnic dressed in a free top and a shorts. When I posted pictures from the picnic on my status one of my pasties replied that I should chose whose side I truly belong to🤣
I wasn’t shocked, I expected more because they only know me in church.
Faith doesn’t dim people’s shine that’s why I have a problem with churches that make women look odd in dress codes.

Modesty is beautiful, be classy for God abeg🤣
