“It’s been one of those weeks…
…long, loud, and lowkey trying to humble me 😅. To be honest, I almost got swallowed by it. But somewhere between sighing and sipping water, I remembered something…”
Growth is when you start seeing challenges as opportunities.
Let’s face it… if life were a video game, some levels would be sweet like Agege bread and butter, and others would come with flying slippers and fuel scarcity. Sometimes, it’s not even that deep. It’s just the little things; the job that didn’t call back, the friend that ghosted, or the plans that scattered like pancakes in hot oil.
But growth? Real growth? It’s when you stop seeing these things as personal attacks from the universe (or, village people 😅) and start seeing them as invitations. Invitations to rise, to stretch, to learn. To become.
See, the person who dodges every inconvenience never really learns how to dance in the rain.. or better still, how to build an ark when the rain won’t stop. And life, especially in this Nigeria we’re navigating, has a PhD in character development.

That uncomfortable season might just be the classroom.
That delay might be the redirection.
That “no” might be clearing space for a better “yes.”
And it’s not always big things. Sometimes growth is realizing that your broken phone helped you rest. Or that the wahala at work taught you boundaries. Or that losing out on something helped you rediscover yourself.
So next time life throws you a lemon, smile… make a lemonade with it. Better still, open a small lemonade stand. Add zobo. Sell. Expand. I will be glad to patronize you… 😅
That’s growth.
Lols… Is quite fascinating about life and challenges.
I love the way you succinctly jest with this serious subject just to enable me digest it interestingly and effortlessly.
Thank you, my Norma
Sometimes attachment to things hinders us from this worldview. Thanks for sharing this
Growth is stressful but necessary
We can only brace up and grow
